Special Theme Week - The Week of August 25 – Peter's Birthday

In Shot Through the Heart, via Rachel Turner's massive collection of paper files (and the magic of screen caps), we learned that Peter's birthday is August 25. For the entire week (August 25 – September 1), wcredux is asking for recommendations for stories featuring Peter-as-child or Kid!Peter (de-aged) fanworks.

Same rules apply to Special Theme Weeks - one fanwork, and it must be at least six month old (written before February, 2015).

You can always recommend as many fanworks from other creators as you want to (but do check to see that they haven't yet been rec'd here on wcredux), and they must also be at least six month old.

Summary: The Road Not Taken – Young Peter's challenged by his friends to do something bad , but he remembers what his father once told him. Likes the Desert, Misses the Rain - Peter and his dad go on a trip by themselves and discover just how much they miss what they left behind.
Why should people re-read this story?: Okay, I know the rules say ONE story, but these two very brief ficlets are in a single post. I wrote them from prompts given to me by one of my first fandom friends, photoash. Even though they were written very early in my WC fandom career, before Season 2 started to air, I think that they still hold true for the character of Peter Burke.
