doctor_fangeek
Characters/Pairings: Peter, Neal, Elizabeth
Rating: PG
Word Count: ~6360
Theme: Neal's Birthday (kid!Neal)
Original Publication Date: October 23, 2012
Content Notes: This is the second in my series of de-aged Neal stories. I never expected to write de-aged Neal, but then I went to a fan gathering in Chicago and we played some writing games, and one of them resulted in my first kid!Neal fics. In this 'verse, Neal has this somewhat troubling ability to find (and touch) magical de-aging objects. Title from the song of the same name by the Indigo Girls
Summary: Neal's strange affinity for de-aging objects continues. But what if Peter isn't there to find him when he's lost?
Why should people re-read this story?: In the words of one of the commenters, "While kid!Neal is adorable and hurty, he's still our Neal...and that's the triumph of this fic." I found that I enjoyed writing de-aged Neal both because he is, in fact, adorable, and also because I could explore themes that speak to the relationships between adult Neal and the other characters (especially Peter).
