Summary: Neal is badly injured just before Thanksgiving. Peter and El wait and hope for a Christmas miracle.
Why should people re-read this story?: This is the start of the 'verse that ate my brain through the beginning of this year and then some (~31,750 words in total so far). And, now I'm hoping to complete one last timestamp before the end of the year. So this reposting is motivational.
