It's May and bromance is in the air.

The friendship between Peter and Neal, between Neal and Elizabeth, Neal and Moz, Neal and June and between all of the other White Collar characters is legendary. May is the month to celebrate the friendships that drew us into the show and kept us coming back season after season, so share with us your stories about all of the good friends.

In Ancient History, we learned that Neal's birthday is March 21 (and he's an Aries). For the entire week (March 21 – March 27),

wcredux is asking for recommendations for stories featuring Neal-as-child or Kid!Neal (de-aged) fanworks.

Since the very beginning of the White Collar Fandom, the theme of Hurt/Comfort has been preeminent. The White Collar Hurt/Comfort Community is one of the most vibrant on LJ and your mods know how much fanworks creators love this theme. That's why we're opening up the throttle and letting everyone's inner hurt-comforteers run free.

Instead of one fanwork this month, creators can make multiple recs of their own creations here on

wcredux. But (and isn't there always a "but") each recommendation has to feature a different whumpee. For example, one self-rec can have Neal as the whumpee, another rec, Peter, and a third might be Elizabeth, and so on.

Summary: During his years in prison, his time on the anklet, Neal dreams of travel. He’s a free man now and when the opportunity to consult with the Los Angeles field office comes up, he doesn’t hesitate to accept. Getting to LA isn’t a problem, it’s getting back to New York that the issue.
Why should people re-read this story?: It's a fun story with very little angst, told almost from Neal's point of view. Anyone who's experienced the horrors of air travel will sympathize with poor, exhausted Neal.

Some of us hate St. Valentine's Day and the manufactured romance, but you have to admit that it makes for a potent theme in the bleakness of mid-winter.

wcredux wants your romantic and your schmoopy fanwork recommendations. And if you find that you are opposed, in principal, to the very idea of Valentine's Day, then give us a recommendation for a trainwreck of a relationship.

Why should people re-read this story?: I've written quite a few first-time stories before, but this one is in a difficult and dangerous setting (a first for me), and I think it's one of the most lyrical first times I've ever written.
